স্কুলগুলোতে আত্মহত্যা প্রতিরোধ নিয়ে আমাদের নতুন করে ব্যাপকভাবে চিন্তা করতে হবে। মৃত্যুদণ্ড অবৈধ ঘোষণা করা হলেও এটি অনেক স্থানে এখনো প্রচলিত । শিক্ষক কর্তৃক মানসিক অত্যাচার এক্ষেত্রে সমানভাবে ক্ষতিকর। দিন বদলে গেছে এবং আমাদের বুঝতে হবে যে স্কুলগুলোতে মানসিক রোগের পরামর্শভিত্তিক সেবার দ্বার খোলার এখনই সময় যেখানে তরুন মনের ছাত্র-ছাত্রীরা পূর্ণ প্রতিযোগিতামূলক ও অনুভূতিহীন শিক্ষা ব্যবস্থা হতে তাদের মনের রোগের চিকিৎসা নিতে আসবে। মানসিক চাপ হতে রক্ষা ও ঠিকমতো বড় হওয়ার জন্য শিশুদের চিকিৎসকের সহায়তা দরকার, পাশাপাশি শিক্ষক ও পিতামাতাদের উচিৎ শিশুদের সাথে মর্যাদার এবং সংবেদনশীলতার সহিত আচরণ করা।
